I changed the plugs out the other day and noticed a little oil around the number 2 plug. I searched and couldn't find anything. Please dont say HG!!! I just did the upper arch and a complete coolant job and am ready to take a break from the underside of my cruiser. I did notice a little blue smoke when i started it the next morning which i havent noticed before, Thanks for the help.

On the top side of the plugs? Spark plug tube seals in the valve cover.

If you need to replace them get them from dan as well as a new valve cover gasket. It's a pretty easy job, and gives you a chance to check your valve clearances while you are at it.

I looked at the haynes manual and to adjust the valves sounds pretty hard, is it? Yes on the top side of the spark plug. Thanks for the reply.

Any chance someone spilled oil on it and didn't clean it up?

Yes possibly i didnt think about that, i will clean it out and see if it comes back. Thanks

Adjusting valves is a breeze. And they are probably fine anyway, it will just be a matter of checking the clearance-Clarence.

I take that back...the shims would be a beeotch to swap out. But they are probably fine. I just got done putting together my '97 FZJ80's engine together....it had 100k on it and the valve clearances were all fine. No adjustments required.

No they are not. Hate to argue, but it's not a breeze.

My bet on the oil is plug tube seals.

Yeah now that i looked at the number 2 plug it is not spilled oil, there would be no way that much was spilled if any. Yeah i thought the shims would be a b*&^%%, i will check the clearence and call it good. Thanks for all the help guys.
