Got another arcade to dick around with a little while back. The price was right at $75 for a working Galaga. The cabinet is not correct for the game, and the marquee looks pathetic. But it's a project.

So I got right to taking this thing apart, and sanding the cabinet down.
Then I painted the cabinet with some glossy black roll on paint.

I replaced the original game board, and updated the wiring harness to 1985 standards. This game board plays 60 classic arcade games, and is about 1/8 of the original size.
Here is the new board and wiring getting sorted out. I sanded down the control panel to bare metal, primed, and painted in hammered black. I installed new controls as well.

Got some sweet blue T moulding.
I sanded down the coin acceptor, and repainted in hammered black. It turned out kind of blotchy, but still a major improvement.

The rent is probably more than my mortgage payment. Plus my ride to work be at least twice as long.

lap belts, it was a 4 point harness but the shoulders were so wrong I wouldn't run it in public.

Rims are fat, with no offset, and strait out of 1992.

Heater is missing a piece of plumbing

The existing Jumper is missing the rubber thing that makes the seat sit level.

Gotten the brakes to sort of work
Replaced an exhaust gasket
Ordered a slave cylinder
New battery
Removed the shoulder belts
Replaced the tail lenses
Painted the rear bumpers charcoal grey
Freed the t-case shifter
Swapped the rims to a set of black aluminums 15x8.5's.
Turned the tires around

Ive driven it about 200 miles since I have had it. Since it has been an unregistered barn truck for 20+ years, that is more than it is used to!
Drove it to work to today, this is how it sits now.
Im not crazy about the rims, but I think I keep them until I can find some originals.

.Just wrapped up the 24hrs of Lemans. Repaired the corner of my house that was rotting off. Trying to maintain my sanity sitting home all day. Playing ice hockey and fxxxing my foot up because my cheap skates suck, and then being pissed I cannot buy new ones.
