I have a AA cross member here. I have some really good never used engine mounts for a V8 for a 40 series. Made by a guy out west years back.

I posted a list somewhere on here for all the stuff needed to bolt in a FJ60 box. Along with where to buy each part.

THANKS!

Shaking my head for not posting here first. So many hours searching the interwebs for this stuff. Shoot me some prices and where you're located.

I like a lot of things about the FJ60 steering except the cost of the box - I can get a reman saginaw for about 1/3 the price of the 60 box - everything else in the conversion seems about the same price-wise and I don't mind the fab required for the front crossmember. As always, strong opinions welcome and encouraged...

Mike

Mike is this for a second 40? I thought I recalled your build being along the lines of slightly modded but mostly stock

I have an AA crossmember tail support as well but sounds like you could get a few things crossed off your list through Darin.

Thanks Jason - been a while man - hope you're well. Yep the cruiser has been on pause for about 6 years, got into BMX racing with my boy and it became more than a hobby. Now I'm back on the 40 and wanted to change it up a little. I'll try to do a better job of posting my progress - hopefully it will keep me on track and I can get to meet up with you guys soon. Joanna (ncnole) was over here a few weeks ago and we swapped her 4" springs for my 2.5 springs - that was a fun night in 100 degree heat and lightning. But it worked out great.

Set of 5 x BFG AT 31x10.5 R15 take offs. Tires are like new, came on the rig, I put on 2K miles, I'd assume they only have 3-4k miles total on them. Can measure depth, but they are very close to the brand new 33's I upgraded to. Can bring to Trollholes parts swap - for mud ship or direct handoff. Pic is from when I did suspension relacement. Asking $625 for the 5 tires. Also, can deliver to Columbia or to Fort Mill, SC for local pick up there.

Is this someone here?

Doing some random searches on craigslist and found this. Really not a bad deal on the 80 but to boot has complete front and rear locking axles listed with the rig. It does not say if the lockers were ever installed but I'm betting they are still sitting on the garage floor. Could be if someone just wanted the lockers you could make an offer.

(EDIT: Email sent. I will post any reply I get)

UPDATE: Reply from seller .... he says "make offer" on the axles but informs that the third member is missing from the front axle.

I'm getting new tires this week and want to see if anyone wants my take-offs. They are BFG AT K/O 31X10.50R15. Date code: 13th week of 2006. Mileage unknown. Tread depth on 4 tires is 12/32, spare is 5/32.

As take-offs I would consider these trail only, but use them as you wish. No warranty expressed or implied. :) Having said that, the last ten year old BFG's I had were sold with my 80 and the tread chunked off pretty bad when Eric took them off road the first time.
I have not had any issues with them since I bought my 40 in November but they are, in my opinion, to wide for a stock 40 rim. I want to go with something a little different that's the reason I'm replacing them.

If interested I can bring them to Trollhole's on Saturday or work out a local pick up.

Price: Trade me something interesting. I know the common currency around here is beer, but I don't drink often. So 40 parts, AR gun parts, ammo, a t-shirt. If you don't have a trade just PM me a $ offer, I'll take it.

If you want them let me know ASAP. The new tires should be in by Wednesday and I will have them mounted Thursday or Friday. If no one wants them I will just leave them at the tire shop.

What are the new ones you are putting on?

Drove them for a year , and still was able to sale after I switched out tires.

Have not been on here much at all since I sold my 80 a couple years ago. Found an FZJ80 radiator that i was going to put in my 1997 when going through the garage. fits 94-97 i believe? Not sure of brand...looks like koyo? Plastic Tank, Aluminum fins, some were bent when removed by previous owner (Jason T.) Was told had about 100 miles on it before he decided to part rig out. $50.00. Located in Greensboro.

I will take the radiator if no one has taken it yet.

I'm interested in one as a spare to match my other four bfgs I have with matching specs. Only if your willing to separate the set. If someone needs all five then that makes more sense. Pm coming

Where can i buy 2 Goodyear MTR 12.50 x 33" 15" wheel tires, circa 2006? I would like to match the front, which are probably 75% tread.

I found a set of new rotors I bought but forgot about for a 76-80 '40. They didn't fit my axles because the hub hole is different (forget if they were too big or too small for mine). I got them from JTOutfitters for like $47/ea. They have a little rust staining but aren't pitted or anything - the first time you hit the brakes they'll be good as new.

$75

Is it a wheeling only rig? IMHO if it's a DD I would sell the 2 mtr's and buy a set of newer 33s. They are 9 years old. That's a very common size so you shouldn't have a problem finding a replacement set.

Possibly interested in the rotors, but you're some distance away. Can you give me the internal diameter of the hole?

Jim

If they don't work for Jim and will fit on rear of 45 I may be interested as well. Need to measure hub DIA first here.

If they do work for Jim I might be able to get them to gso if it helps in the delivery.

The hub hole is 100mm (roughly 3 15/16")
