Cool vehicle - also like the silver one in the background...looks like it has a snorkel.

The time is nearing for me to invest even more $ in my Warn 8274 rebuild. I thought I'd lined up to purchase relatively new wire rope from a fellow ONSC who was planning to upgrade to synthetic, but I just learned they've decided to hold off for the foreseeable future. Is anyone else about to make the switch to synthetic that is interested in selling their wire rope?

Hmmmmmmm, I'll think on it. Keep in mind the 8274 will hold 150' vs. most other winch's capacity of 100'. I haven't used mine enough (yet) for that to have come into play, but if it ever did, and I only had 100' on the spool, I'd be pissed at myself.

I just bought a brand new winch and new rope for it. I'll have the wire cable and the new roller fairlead for sale soon if you're interested.

RK - I think you'll recall which winch I bought and I regret not passing on it like you did based on what I've seen come available on CL since then. Live and learn... Don't think I'll need the roller fairlead (just finished tearing the rusted one I got apart and am 50% through media blasting it at Cirbo's garage (he kicked me out to watch season premier of Deadliest Catch). Let me know what length you're getting rid of what you'd take for it.

Ramon - Good point on the length but budget might have to dictate for now as I've poured more into this than I had allotted (and it sounds like I'm going to have to invest in a new battery as well).

At least you'll know what you have since you're rebuilding the winch. You'll be happy with the finished product. PM sent on the cable.

A friend has (5) 33x10.50x15 BFG ATs he wants to sell. The tires are at least 90% tread if not 95%. There is no rash, they are on a Wrangler that is only street driven. He wants $500 for all 5 tires. Located in Roxboro.

Hi guys, am looking for an upper dash(the long one under the windshield) for my 76-40, does not have to be in good shape just straight and not coming apart, I am going to put a dash cover on it.The idiot that took mine off bent the hell out of it. Thanks,G.

my Warn 8274

Selling the 8274 from my FJ40 buggy now. Winch is in great condition, could use a coat of paint or could be shined up to look great. I installed the new 4hp motor on it a couple of years ago in place of the original 2.5hp motor. I put 150' of new cable on it 4 years ago. It comes with the remote control and a hawse fairlead. $600

Only reason for the sale is that I went to a lower profile winch with rope and a slower line speed to use as a suspension suck down winch up front. The 8274 is just too fast for that application.
