If money is burning a hole in anyone's pocket then I saw a sweet deal on Charlotte CL.

1983 LC for $1000 in Dallas, NC. Not sure if it is 40 or 60 series. If I had room for a third cruiser I think I'd buy it sight unseen.

If anyone is interested, I could go by and take a look and some pics as I work just down the road in Gastonia.

I am in no ways an expert (even with my own cruiser) but could at least give someone an idea as to if it's worth checking out further.

Hey guys, new to the board. fj40z put me onto all this. I have an 04 extra cab tacoma. I know I know, not a cruiser. It only has a few mild mods at this point, but one step at a time she is gettin there. Few things I am looking for at this point. Front winch bumper, white camper top, possibly some stock 15 inch wheels. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Andrew

you might browse through the last several pages of current stuff and keep peeking back. I did see a camper shell down in Farmville NC that was all solid, all white. I could prolly get a friend to grab the number if your interested in white. Where were you when i was tryin to liquidate my taco toys ?

Well, trying to cut back some expenses so if I can sell the FJ and get into something with lower payments it will be gone. Don't worry it will be another cruiser. I just loved driving the 89 fj62.

6 lug 17x9" beadlocks

These are my old beadlocks. They are just over a year old, and in great condition. They are dirty in the pics, if they were clean they would like like new. The current owner is going up to 1 tons so the 6 lug BP won't work any more. He is a motivated seller, make him an offer.

I think the wheels have 3.75" backspacing.

I took my front adjustable pan hard to have new slee blue bushings in. Well Tarheel 4wd couldn't get the old ones out and demolished one of the bushings with parts of the metal sleeve still stuck and bent in the hole. I don't have time to track down a machine shop to remove those parts and take out the other bushing to put the new ones in. So I just ordered a brand new adjustable one from slee so hopefully this will be me next week because the cruiser is now undriveable again

Anyway if anyone wants an adjustable front panhard with the brand new bushings let me know. I'll let them go for cheap since I don't want to have to deal with finding someone to fix it.
Oh yeah this rod is one of the slee do it yourselfers that the PO bought and installed.
I'd say $100 for the bushings (they sell for $45 pluss shipping) and the rod.

FJ40 rear axle - SOA & discs

A friend has an FJ40 rear axle he needs to sale. It is set-up for spring-over and has disc brakes. The axle shafts are included, but NOT the third member. He just removed this from his 40 ans swapped in a centered rear axle.

Not sure what he wants for it, but I can find out if anyone is interested.

3spd transmission all new bearings and synchros some time back FREE
Battery support from my 78 40 series FREE
Steering box from my 78 FREE
Bunch of tie rod parts and relay pivot from a 78 FREE

Minitruck inner axles from an 85 $20
GM alternator rebuilt $20

I'm pretty sure I have more stuff, but will need to look. I know I will have a 78 fuel tank with one weeping seam, but otherwise solid. I should be done with it in a few days.

hey there jason, you must be steves friend. I think I met you fishing with steve one time? I was probably in baltimore when you where trying to get rid of your tacoma stuff I wish I would have been around, that was a sweet set up if I remember correctly. Does that camper top have a rear window? if so I would be interested. Problem is, dont know when I will be back down that way until we move back in July. Any who, lookin forward to joining the group, got big plans for the ol tacoma!
