EDIT: SOLD.

After a very unfortunate accident with my 80 series I'm looking to sell the 4x4 Labs rear bumper that I bought as a kit and is now very nearly finished. I had a coworker weld it for me and he did an absolutely incredible job. He's been fabricating race car chassis and other high precision parts for 30 years and it shows. This will be among the nicest 4x4labs bumpers ever fabricated. We even remade a few of the smaller parts to have them be as good as possible.

I ordered the base bumper with double swingouts + the tire carrier + the base for the other swingout (so you can fab up something for the passenger side yourself or just buy a swingout component from 4x4 labs). Its 90% finished and should be completed in the next week but I wanted to go ahead and make a post here about it. This thing is strong as hell and came together really nicely, I wish I could keep it and use it on my 80 but after the accident I think a newer cruiser is in my future.

(we redid these end caps to make them thinner and then he braised/tig welded them on)

We're welding this at the race shop so it'll basically make your truck a racecar (if anyone is interested you can even pick it up here and I'll give you a private tour if you're into NASCAR or are curious).

I'm looking to get near the 4x4 labs price for this configuration (3000$) minus shipping (I paid 400 just to ship the kit) and feel that's worth it given it's brand new and they don't get nicer than this and there will be no wait! I was also planning on having it painted here at the shop (we don't do powdercoating) and still could or you could paint it yourself. More pictures once we are 100% done.

If interested send me a message, I'd love for this to go to a club member so I can still see it around!

Why do I have a desire to buy this one too, lol
They all deserve a place to call home. For illustrative purposes only. The three into one before you is not for sale.

Is this basically what you have? I know the welds look great. Want to compare.

Where is this located? Charlotte?

Correct should have posted the link there! The bumper is at the Trackhouse NASCAR shop in Concord but I live in Charlotte

I just put Scott Johnson’s old lift on my 2013 LC200 and of course the 285/60r18 Defenders look a little small. It now has the 2” Ironman lift and ucas so I may be in the market for a little larger tire/wheel combo if I can find a good deal. I was hoping to keep the stock 18 in wheels and run a wheel spacer if needed. I don’t really like spacers but not totally opposed. I am leaning toward something not too aggressive since this is my wife’s daily driver and mall crawler/ tow vehicle. Dbenke has a really god set of 34x12.5r18 ko2s but I’m not sure if they’ll fit without too much modification and ill effects! Whatcha think? Let me know if you have any for sale or any thoughts! Thanks!

Got a buddy looking for a well sorted out 40. He is looking for fully restored kinda rig. Let me know if anyones got a lead.

Anyone have a 38mm split case they are looking to unload? I will be rebuilding and regearing so condition isn't a huge issue as long as the case is in good condition.
