Asked K'ville seller about the FJ55 rust issues as documented in earlier photos. Here is the reply;

Thank you for your recent inquiry on the Toyota Land Cruiser . Attached is a link to all the vehicle information including the carfax history report. Please feel free to contact me via email or by phone so I can further assist you. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Not aware of rusting if a customer wants to see if the vehicle has rust we can sent photos or check if that's a concern of yours.
Thank you,

lol. What rust? Rust is brown, not green... That's.... um.... moss. Yeah, that's it... moss!

I found this one, and was wondering if anyone had seen it and noticed anything of concern in the pictures. Not sure, but in the 5th picture from the end (transfer case?) it looks like they used that red gasket goo -- is that a "no-no" or a no big deal? Any opinions? Toyota: Land Cruiser 40th anniversary Just curious what more experienced eyes would say. Thx!

Doesn't look as if it's had a caring owner judging by its overall raggidiness, and that red goop may be a sign of a transfer case rebuild (which could be good or bad). At that price, I wouldn't consider that one - it may be a $5k Cruiser, if that.

I shouldnt post this up, in case I wanted to go look at it :grinpimp:...But if someone is looking for an 80 series with lockers..... Rebuilt motor and new tranny, and new tires...Needs a drivers seat. He's kinda high on the price though.

@kristofferson We really should take this conversation to its own thread. I applaud you looking outside the area and being willing to travel. However with that comes regional price influences. California and pacific north west are good climates to shop but expensive markets. Keep it up. One will come along and it pays to be patient.

You wouldn't need the R/V any more !!!

Hey now, anybody know this guy?:D

Landcrusers are for sale too. Translated the specs: 120K miles, on 22" rims, black krylon paint job. If miles are real, could be good fins, 22's and all. May have a couple of low caliber bullet holes. Just saying...
