I have front and rear axel for a 75 FJ40 $500 OBO Charlotte NC

I am in the middle of rebuilding my transfer case and found out that my idler gear oil slinger is broken. Not sure if I broke it during disassembly or if it has been some time, but I need another ASAP. Please give me a call on my cell if you have one, closer to Raleigh, the better. Trying to upload a pic now.

EDIT: Here is a picture. Anyone?

anyone have a front drive shaft for a 94' 80? my swaybar dinged mine... guess i am going to have to fab some sway bar spacers.

I think both front and rear out in my garage, but I'm in New Bern. Might be too far out of the way.

Im n havelock I can get them from you and bring to logans run. Just let me know.

Thanks Adam & Hobbes, If i don't here back from kyle in the next few days, this might ba an option.

still looking for a front drive shaft. the one kyle had was from a 95' which is longer then the 93-94' which has the A442F transmission. the length on the front driveshaft installed is about 32" flange to flange.

Oops. Missed that part. Mine are from my '97.

Edit: I'm showing about 31.25" on the shaft on my truck. Seems close.

if fully compressed is 31 and 1/8 flange to flange then it should work, the one kyle looked at was about 37". the long shaft from the flange to the edge of the slip joint is 25 1/4" long.

If your joints are in good shape Eric, why not get your DS retubed with DOM. Stronger and length built to spec. Just a thought.

Even if the Joints aren't in good shape i'd do that anyway with new joints or get a mini truck DC shaft and get it retubed to spec. Very cheap way to get a toyota quality tough as nails DS

never thought about getting it re-tubed, guess i figured that would cost to much.
In a nut shell, my swaybar was never lowered and my drive shaft came in contact with it and it now has a nice flat spot on the tube at the slip joint. can you recommend someone local.

edit. I did make some 2" spacers this weekend.

Triangle driveshaft in Durham did a good job retubing my rear w/ DOM after I spun it on Kodak. this dude has been doing DS since before we were born, is a one-man operation behind his house. Give a call at least (919) 688-2544.

I think mine was $150 and he did an awesome job.

Russell does do great work. He can be a little expensive though. Another option is Oliver's Driveshafts in Winston-Salem. Dave does great work there at more reasonable prices. He can ship the driveshaft to you and still come out cheaper. Dave is a wheeler also, so he is familiar with what you are lokoing for.

I assume either can make custom DS's with DOM? Thinking down the road with the project.

x2 on Olivers. Ive got a couple DS from him and most recently had the 80 shaft retubed after trying Gregs line on Kodak :D

1/4'' wall DOM. Survived GSMTR very well after winching the truck over an obstacle with the full weight on it. Heavy, but balanced well.

The extra cost for 1/4" DOM is minimal, so I can't see why you wouldn't go that route, but yeah, I'm sure they can use a soda can if you wanted :)
