I have been searching online and in manuals, and see a lot of suggestions, but does anyone know the Toyota/Lexus recommended maximum difference in tire size between the front and the back that will not damage the AWD on an LX470? Google AI (so, meaningless) says 2-3%, some say 3-4%, and then there are many estimates based on differences in circumferences in inches, and tread depth, but is there an actual official value for this (other than zero)? I just bought 2 new tires and have a 1.4% difference in circumference compared to the old, and want to make sure before a long ride. Thanks.

I recently checked in to an OTRAMM live chat with Ryan, their head honcho, and asked generally the same question.
I asked if a couple mm of difference was dangerous front to back and he was of the mindset that even differences in
inflation PSI could cause that amount of rolling diameter variance. It was potentially possible to wear the viscous coupler
a bit but that it wasn't probably anything to worry about.

I did the same thing (sorta) I had an untouched spare and my fronts were cupping so I bought one tire, put the brand
new spare and newly purchased tire on the back and then moved the slightly worn rears to the front. Maybe 2 mm of difference.

I think you're good.
