Off-Highway Trails Near Ft. Collins, CO

Hey All,

I will be in Ft. Collins in mid-July visiting my brothers and will have time to take one may be two trips into the Rockies. I would love to hit up an off-highway trial of some sort. Seeing as we do not have them out here in Ohio.

If anyone has any good recommendations I would really appreciate it. I prefer a beginner trail. My 80 is fairly stock and it has no protection. It will be simply for a fun leisurely afternoon trip into the mountains and to get off the beaten path.

Also if anyone will be around and would like to join me that would be great. I will be in town July 15, 16, and 17. Leaving on the 18th for northern Minnesota.

Thanks

Why don't you swing by Slee's and pick some stuff up.

I am thinking about it. I will probably stop in regardless just to check it out.

I'm sure there's plenty of other options, but Left Hand Canyon is great for what you described. It's south of Fort Collins, between Lyons and Boulder. It's easy to find and easy to wheel. There are some harder trail options that split off, but you can stick to the bumpy road with an occasional rock or rut. Feel free to PM me if you want...
