Got ARB compressor wiring to install. Will be wanting to wire in switches and relays for front and rear LED lights too. Who makes good quality OEM-style green lit panel switches?

TIA.

Air on Board makes a “light green” for the OEM color on 2008-2015. And a “light blue” for the OEM color on 2016-2020.

I use STEDI when not using a Switch Pro. They are in Australia, inventory is spotty but they still get here in a few days. Short Type Push Switches to Suit Toyota
Have Stedi changed their green and blues to match?

I first had Stedi switches, but they didn’t match the factory illumination color at all.

For what it’s worth, Stedi, Air on Board, or Cruiser Heads don’t make any of these switches. They all source them from a 3rd party. Stedi and Air on Board are exactly the same construction. Cruise heads use a different construction which was not very reliable for me (lost it’s “click in” ability.)

On 2016+ (blue) stedis don’t match perfectly, but close. Good to know about air on board. STEDI runs out often, so I mass order when available

I don't see Land Cruiser as an option in the drop down menu. Do they all fit as long as they are the short version?

Also, are they plug and play on the right side of the steering wheel or do I need additional wiring? It's just full of blanks now.

I'm trying to do the same thing as the OP.

“Toyota Small Switch” is what is designed for our switch blanks. That switch is used across may other Toyotas.

For wiring, all these switches are for other 3rd party accessories. Nothing will be plug and play and you will need to figure out how to properly wire them to whatever other 3rd party accessory you are adding.

ex: ARB air locker and compressor switches use 5 wires, these “Toyota Small Switches”have 4 wires. You will need to adapt them appropriately based on their function (and not necessarily their color)

Got it. Thanks!

Are people pleased with the AirOnBoard individual switches? Any better oem-type options?

AoB's descriptions aren't very detailed. I'm just looking for matching compressor and light bar switches, but the compressor is a 5 wire and the switch receives 4. While I realize that it's not "plug and play" is it a straightforward install?

I've had issues, about 10% of the time, this switch just doesn't want to engage fully. Not defending them, but all these aftermarket switches are pretty much the same general switch, and these companies put different colored lights in them and different little designs on the outside. But there isn't much difference in build quality.

The best switch is still a Toyota switch, that if you have the skill, can rewiring the little guy and get it to do whatever you want. Or you can build a little logic board that controls more things form an existing, or new unmodified Toyota switch, that's my favorite to do.

Roger that, thank you. Just confirming that by going the Toyota route I'd be buying a replacement switch that is blank (unmodified) or ACC (with a back light)?

I don't expect to need more than the 2 switches until I'm out of warranty period and add more accessories, so a board is unnecessary at this point.

For the Toyota route, pretty much. There has been a lot of really cool switches that Toyota has made over the years. Like one that I did was a factory fog light switch, that when clicked on, turned on the fog lights. But if you long held pressed that same switch, it turned on some auxiliary lights. your imagine is the limit.

But for AOB switches, they are pretty good, most of the time, and offer people a significantly faster solution. And their "Toyota green" and "Toyota blue" colors are pretty close to factory colors. Outside of the reverse polarity thing that Toyota like to do with lighting, its not too bad. The reverse polarity thing is why sometimes, I find it easier, and better to modify a Toyota switch, than to make an aftermarket switch feel factory. One is not right or better than the other, just different options for a variety of possible solutions.

Got it. Much appreciated. Thank you, sir!

I haven't had any issues with them. I also installed one of their switches for my spot lights middle of last year. So far so good. 🤞

Mine is an 08 and these match pretty well.

Bumping this one... Does anyone make a SPDT (ON-OFF-ON) as a Small Toyota switch? Preferably that can be customized.
My go to reverse light harness uses one of these for ON (reverse engaged) - OFF - ON (switched on)

On my LR's I use an E-switch (which looks like it will fit but is not lighted)..

thanks
