Do you have the picture of the roll bar? If I can be of any help let me know. I have a Roll bar but I doubt it is OEM.

Little history on roll bar in the US market. 74-76 the radius rear bar is wider. 77 tighter radius for excess to vent window handles. 2/78 added a bracket for three point seat belts. 1/79 switched from black to gray. Foot print on the tub the tub was the same for all of them. There is also a spot welded brace for all four feet in the wheel wells. If your thinking of adding one to a tub that never had one believe I seen a vendor who sold the braces but can't remember which one. Would consider the later one with the three point seat belt mounts.

How are the seat belts mounted? From 2/78 on front seat belts used the roll bar allowed three point seat belts with the top off. An aftermarket seat belt kit that has bracket that uses one of the roll bar mounting bolts but prefer the factory bracket.

I don’t think the long jump seats would fit between, and if wheel wells have extra bracing underneath in’72 or 72. I guess if you are a good fabricator it is probably possible but would require mods. And use of later jump seats if they were desired.

I was wondering about this. I actually have some long seats I bought long ago. Yes fabrication is not an issue, just not sure how it would work.

I added the roll bar and side doors off a wrecked 79 FJ40 back in 1983. Not sure why I didn't buy the jumps seats maybe they were already sold. 1983 was a few years ago. I did add seats I think are out of a 76 later.
