I had my radiator replaced on my 2010 200 series LC(140K miles). Was told there was some “cracked plastic”

at the bottom and replacement was recommended by my local truck shop.

I asked for OEM only. Does this like look OEM?
Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Didn’t remember what the original looked like.

Anyone else have radiator issues needing replacement at 140K miles? (granted it’s 12 years old). Seems too soon for a LC. Hope someone with experience can comment. Thanks in advance.

That looks to be the updated radiator which is good. I replaced mine at 85K (2013) due to a crack starting. Thanks Mike!

Thanks, Mike. Checked out the link and saw many 2008-10 LC with this same issue.

Super common. Yours is the Toyota part. It is the updated (2018+) one formed without the sharp angles and stress risers.

That thread started so long ago at the time only early rigs were getting failures. By now it is pretty widely accepted that every US market 5.7 cruiser/LX with the original radiator design (which runs til late 2018), will get the failure eventually. Not just 08-10.

Yes it seems below the standard of these vehicles, but I personally feel if this is the one common issue we deal with, and it’s easy to monitor the crack and most people typically have 10k miles + after initial identification.. pretty small price to pay for the other positives of this platform.

Yup correct updated radiator
