I am running the stainless Magnaflow Y-pipe from the factory 1FZFE manifolds and have been battling a persistent exhaust leak for months. The gaskets supplied in the Magnaflow kit didn't seem to last. As much as I love fake turbo whistle, I'd like to get this fixed once and for all. Curious what gaskets folks running with this set-up - OEM crush gaskets, NAPA, FelPro, more Magnaflow, etc?

For clarification, I did replace the manifold studs with new OEM studs/nuts upon the initial install, and the mating surfaces were in good shape.

I used the ones that came with the magnaflow with good results for a year or two before taking it all apart. Now using OEM crush donut gaskets.

Can't comment on the longevity of OEM gaskets because one of my studs stripped out, but OEM style definitely looks like the superior design.

PS: any tips or suggestions on stud replacement job?

I too have OEM manifold and magnaflow y-pipe.

I used the OEM gaskets, it leaked. Tried it again, it may be leaking a little again.

Also, having problems keeping the magna y pipe and magna 2nd cat from leaking. This one is more obvious.
Have put that together twice as well, second time using two gaskets. One OEM and one magna supplied.

In a few weeks I'm gonna go for it again using OEM gaskets.

I'm getting a p070 cel, reader says its adding fuel. Hoping it's related to a leak that I'm hoping exists and that I'm hoping to fix.

So I'm no help...at all

I installed four new OEM studs and nuts when I replaced the Y-pipe. Two of the four broke upon removal. As for getting the broken studs out, assuming you have a little bit of stud left to get some purchase, an M10 stud removal worked perfectly for me. Blasted the edge of the manifold with some MAP gas till they were cherry red, then the stud twisted right out no issue.

I installed the Magnaflow setup in 2014. The provided gaskets suck, didn't last six months. OEM Toyota gaskets work great so long as the studs are still good.

I've replaced the OEM gaskets with this setup twice in 18 months. So I guess my studs are no good?

Mine were stripped, so I couldn't tighten them well enough. Once I replaced the stud, a new set of gaskets and I haven't had a leak since.

You were able to do it on the truck (didn't pull the manifolds)?

Yup. On the truck with a 20" extension. The small 5.5oz MAP gas tank was key to get the heat right up against the manifold.
