I'm replacing a poly tank with an OEM steel tank in a 1974 FJ40. There are 2 fittings on the side nearest the drivers seat. One is about halfway up the side of the tank (line 19 in picture) and the other one is near the bottom (line 15 in picture).
Which one goes to the fuel pump and which one is the return line from the carb? It would make sense that the lowest one go to the fuel pump but on earlier model tanks where there is no return line, the fuel pump line is halfway up the side.
I just want to confirm proper hose hook up. Thanks
