OEM Front Door Weatherstripping (1 Viewer)

Time to re-new the front door seals on my 74 40. I bought a right and left side OEM weatherstrip from Cruiser Corps and have the old weatherstripping off and all the residue off (combination of goof off and wire wheel on the drill). Now, the OEM stripping has a flat side and a c-shaped side (sort of a channel I guess). What is the correct way to mount the stripping? Does the flat side go down with the channel facing out of vise versa? Does it fit in the corner where the 90 degree angle is? Any good threads on this? I found one thread on a door refresh using the CCOT stripping, but it doesn't really say which way to apply the weather stripping.

There should be two flat sides on your weather stripping. The larger flat side goes against the outer door skin, and the shorter flat side goes against your inner door metal panel. See my post on this thread for close up pictures of the weather stripping and the door.

I just installed mine. One thing I did incorrectly was to hug it against the beveled out section on the inside of the door. In retrospect, it should have followed the outer area closest to the edge... Not sure if that makes sense or not.

That helps a lot! Thanks for that. I'm just trying to make sure I install it right the first time, since that 3M glue is pretty good stuff!
