Hi, a week or so ago I started a thread re the possibility of using '93+ brakes on a pre '93 80 series, I thought I'd post up what I've found for the sake of others looking to do the same at some stage in the future!
Yes it does work, the newer larger (311x32 vs 286x25) discs bolt straight on as do the '93+ calipers (needed) and backing plates (needed or you can trim the existing one a little which is what I did)
The difference is noticable but it's not huge, main benefits should be much better fade resistance while towing or heavy braking and longer life when towing or braking heavily.
