I am weighing my options between "real" sliders, factory rock rails, and the plastic running boards. I am unlikely to do any real wheeling but most importantly my young kids need to be able to enter the truck easily.

My 1958 came with port installed predator steps and I know for certain those are going on Facebook Marketplace (or in the bin).

I have done considerable searching and read many threads but cannot find the part number stated anywhere for the plastic running boards seen on some Land Cruiser and First Edition trims (pictured below):

On my window sticker they are just called "running boards"

When it cools down, I can go look to see if there is a part number on mine.

These are the ones you're looking for?

Not sure why each side has 2 part numbers.

Beautiful Cruiser! Did I see you at the Sinclair station in Boulder City last week? If so I was the guy you showed your Cruiser too!

Not sure why each side has 2 part numbers.

The first number is an engineering component part number (part number indicated/assigned sequentially by the engineer based on Toyota standards for part number assignment).

The second number is service/replacement part number (The part number one would use when you go to a dealership to order a part).

If you want to buy said part, use the second number.

Hmmmm the first number seems to be just the step insert and the second number doesn't return anything online.

For other models, the running boards begin with an accessory part number formatting "PTXYZ...". I am wondering if these are not available as an accessory yet.

No ‘wheeling’ and main reason for them is kid’s step so what’s wrong with those steps? It certainly doesn’t sound like you need sliders at all.

I simply do not like the way the predator steps look.

We're not a big fan of the port installed rock rail. My wife's mother-in-law, has trouble getting in the back seat, with the rock rail. I have asked my Lexus salesman and Lexus accessory guy to notify me if any new owners that want my rock rails, in lieu of factory running boards.

would you mind posting a photo perhaps with the toe of a shoe on them for reference?

on a previous Tacoma I had added strips of grip tape to the top of my Shrockworks sliders - could help!

Thank you! Wow - these are much more than I anticipated. 2x the price of the OE rock rails

Since you have access to all these part numbers, would you mind starting an official part number request thread? Do you have access to 24+ Tacoma part numbers too?

I can get that going if folks are interested. Can get part numbers for LC and Tacoma.
