I had a pair of Black Panthers in my 60 and was very satisfied. I understand these are now called Odyssey and think I would like to get a set for my 80.

Any thoughts?

There's a really cool function in this forum. It's called search :flipoff2: :D

Photoman I think has them and I think Pimp may have posted a few comments about them (can't be sure it was him though). There was also recently a thread about where to get them.

Can't remember the thread, but I think I'd find it if I searched :D

Dang southwesterners :D

At what point in time does every conceivable subject get addressed on the list and then archived?
Then all discussion stops and there is only a link to Archive Search.
I bet we've passed that point already! :)

Click on the "where to buy" link and enter your state. There was a local dealer near me that was willing to beat any price I found online including the price that someone else posted on this or maybe some other forum. Didn't have to pay shipping, and they were pretty damn knowlegeable about the product line to boot. He actually spent a fair amount of time on the phone discussing my uses. Once I modify my battery tray to take one of those big ass 1700's I'll be purchasing it from them. I like the idea of meeting them face to face. The fact that the receptionist had legs that went all the way down to the ground didn't hurt either. HooRaa.

I tried that, all the local place said NO WAY we can meet or even come close, no place had em in stock, would take weeks to get, still had sale tax and they treid to sell me something I didnt want, said I could ONLY get the 1200 without the metal case..........no thanks. There best price was $187+tax for the 1200(no metal case) I paid $167.50 to my door, got it in less than a week.

You had better luck then me, and I really try to buy local......

I'd be willing to bet the margin on this stuff is pretty slim. When I say "beat any price" I mean by a buck or 2, not $30 or $40 for sure. And I will pay sales tax on top, but I like these guys so I don't have a problem handing them my wife's hard earned money.

Dog,
You could offer to take them some of your squaw's fine cooking. Then grab the batteries and run as they keel over before they even have the chance to call Roscoe P Cooltrain. Gee Gee :flipoff2:

Whatever you do, just do not commit the ultimate sin of buying a frickin Oprapeya. Those things are pure Anthrax to a fine cruiser. >:(

watch what you say around here junk. I got hollered at when i strayed off topic while trying to help. Insulting other's wives is sure to tie his panties in a knot.
