This is gonna be a rock flexing good time.
The lake looks so crisp might be worth camping out. Probably be a bit chilly but that's Montana fall for ya.

For those of you wondering what the trail is like here is a great video of some local Yotas.
Toyota's wheeling North Meadow In Montana

It would be a great trail to test your rig and camp out under the stars.

42” swampers make the trail seem quite manageable LOL
Truer words have never been spoken.
42" is a bit overkill, and yeah they pretty much just walked the whole trail.
I know that crew and they built their rigs more for snow wheeling with them BIG tires and turbos.
I'm sure a rig with 33s and maybe one locker could make it with some spotting help and cojones.

i did it in a stock FJC on 33s with a rear locker. It can be done with less but youll bash. ALso feel like it was easier back in the day.

Check out the high water mark on the spare. We made it through the swamp. Ended up camping out at twin lakes and we were planning on making the run up to mcelvy on Sunday morning but realized I broke a swap bar link. Probably in the swamp. I didn’t feel like it was a good idea with the swap all screwed up to go to mcelvy since it’s a lot of off camper leaning towards trees. But we made it home and it was a fun weekend. More pictures to come. Once I get back from the pressure washer

Believe it or not I was not stuck. The logs just were preventing forward progress. I had to back out and find a different line

Had a great trip Up North Meadow.
This was the first challenging trail I have done with the 4Runner and I went into it not really know how well it would do.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it walked up every obstacle without any trouble.
The dual cases make all the difference on this trail, Being able to choose the perfect speed for each obstacle.

When we got to the Mud pit the "log bridge" was completely destroyed.
It took us a few minutes of looking around to see what was the easiest way through.
Aaron ended up trying two routes to the left and didn't make it far.
Straight through the pit slowly and steady throttle was the best option.

You could definitely tell the weight difference in the mudd pit between the Lexus and the 4Runner.
Lexus had to really try and pull its weight through while the 4Runner just skipped through it.

Such a perfect day to be in the Montana Backcountry with some Yotas.

Only had one tree down in the trail and Aaron made short work of it.
