as i noted earlier, i will be in Duck with family during the weekend of this trip. will it be okay for me to just show up with a family member or two on friday and/or saturday to join in some kayaking, fishing, and beach driving? we will have to return to family each night for dinner, so we will not need any meals or campsites.

Guys - I will not be able to make this one. My middle daughters birthday is the 26th, so I will be at Kings Dominion with the family.

On the plus side, this coming weekend I go with my oldest for orientation at WCU.

Not a problem at all

Sweet! i will follow the itinerary and look out for a group of yotas! look forward to meeting some of you...been a lurking member.

i will be at the western part of the state this coming weekend as well. Going to Grandfather Mountain with family from Cali. We will be staying at Banner Elk.

OK, so the last part of the jigsaw puzzle, here's what I have. Those arriving on Thursday should already have their spaces booked at Ocracoke campground.

I have booked 12 spaces with Frisco Woods, based on the numbers I have recieved. Totals are $67 a space for both Friday and Saturday night. I was expecting a little better deal, but the backstory on that is for a campfire tale.

I have arriving

Thursday: Brian+1, Greg, Jon+1, Allen, Ramon+1, Joe/Jason+1, Stephen Ferry is booked for the group, Book your campsite according to Itinerary

Friday: Previous Group, Clint +3, Al+1, Jerry, (David? and Justin? spaces are booked for them)
12 spaces reserved at Frisco Woods for Friday and Saturday Night
Deposit paid for by myself, you all owe me more money. If any party backs out, do it by tomorrow night, they need 72 hours notice...

Friday night dinner: We decided a seafood boil and either we can buy the items on the island and split the cost, or we can divy up all the ingredients and buy them here and transport. I favor the latter, and can bring the propane and cooker/pot. Just let me know what everyone wants to do, and has a good recipe or side dishes...

Other than that, that is all I have. See you guys on Thursday/Friday!

I would prefer to pickup the seafood there around Frisco. Doing a quick google around Frisco, there are 6 seafood restaurants/markets. I would hope we could find one place to buy something fresh.

Brian, thank you for taking care of all the planning and reservations. We are really looking forward to getting there Friday.

I really hate I am missing this trip. My oldest daughter (6) has Indian Princesses at Camp Seafarer. I hope to make it next time. You folks have a blast.

I just have one request on this.... would it be possible to get one plate that isn't seafood.... my wife hates sea food (not sure what is wrong with her :grinpimp:)

Yeah, that's not a problem. We can whip her up something else...

If she likes PB&J sandwiches, chicken nuggets, or hot dogs, she can eat with our kids. :)

Just kidding. But we should be able to work something out. We'll be making something for our kids, and there will probably be someone else in the group that may not like seafood.
