I realize this isn't that hardcore but I may get better ideas/response than 80 Tech.
I have lockers and 4.88's on the way for my FZJ80. I was told to forget the basic ARB compressor and after pricing the bigger ARB comp I decided to run a ViAir OBA system. This would provide the air source for lockers and tire inflation (yes I know it's slow) but now I'm not sure.
I found a descent price on the ViAir Constant Duty System but I realized that the pressure valve is set to come on at 110 psi and off at 150 psi. After some research I found that the lockers are designed for 85-105 psi. The last thing I want is trouble with the seals since they seem to have been problematic ( yes, I realize they have been redesigned).
I have considered running a different pressure switch (designed for 85 on - 105 off ) but that would seem to defeat the whole reason I wanted the top of the line system. Is anybody else running this system and what have you done to manage the pressure?
I really don't want to run C02 (and absolutely no belt-driven OBA) for my tires BUT if I did go that direction I would want to spend as little as is practical for a GOOD comp for the lockers ... is the basic ARB satisfactory for that single purpose?
and Thanks for help but I would appreciate if this stays limited to discussion of electric compressors. (I don't need to hear how much you love your C02 setup or York ...I've done that research already
