O/T - anyone going dove hunting next Saturday?

On topic in that I will drive my 100 where ever I go.

Just wondering if anyone had or knew of a good spot. Would like to go and have not been since I moved to Ala.

I am going at a friends farm its the first time I've been in 10 years.

Any one recommend any good places to dove hunt within 100 or so miles of Bham? Lived in South Carolina the last 12 years and lost touch around here. Used to go 10-15 each season and now, no where to go. Want to take my grandson on his first hunt.

I work near downtown Bham and yesterday morning saw over 200 birds right in back of one of the buildings. Plenty of room to hunt but the people in Pratt City and Ensley might think it was a war. Not to mention the long jail time.

That's exactly why I am going this year. My oldest son is finally interested in hunting and wanted to go deer hunting last season with me, well that lasted maybe 30 min (which I thought was pretty good for a 5 yo) and he was playing and running around. I figure dove hunting has a lot more action and a lot less quiet time he can atleast talk while we are out there.
