Ok guys...real time help here.

I've found an NV4500 from a 93-94 chevy dually 2wd.

The 2wd is a real issue. Came from a wrecked truck so it's supposed to be in excellent shape.

There is no adapter kit to match her up to a land cruiser case...only a Dana 300 or NP231

I plan on using a cummins or isuzu diesel for the swap.

I suppose replacing my rear axle with a much stronger centered rear axle cut down to fit wouldn't be a huge deal breaker since i do use to cruiser to pull my boats out of the water quite frequently

But if possible i'd like to keep my pto winch for the cool factor so id like to retain the 3 speed case if possible.

Do any of you know how i could use the land cruiser case with the 2wd NV4500...new main shaft/output shaft????

The tranny is 250 bucks if i pick it up this weekend...kinda hard to NOT buy a 250 dollar nv4500 if she's in as good of shape as the seller claims...the 300 would be a great upgrade...as would a beefeir rear axle.

Pages 6 and 13. Seems as though the problem is with the main shaft and that can certainly be swapped out if you can purchase one. It's a good idea to rebuild the transmission anyway and it isn't too difficult. Novak and Quad 4x4 are good resources.
