I have a 700R4 lined up. Looking for a littler bit lower gears. Can I run the NP203 in front of my '85's T-case?

I've read a couple of builds where the 203 is used as a double in the 40s, will it work in the 60?

Is my t-case the 19 spline?

Input on the doubler? Too much torque?

I'm looking forward to having the drivertrain "done" 350 with rebuilt q-jet -> 700r -> 203 doubler -> t-case. Looks like the best combo of drivibility on and off road.

Thoughts on this?

Thanks
Chris

Yes, Call up Mudrack and get the adapter between the 203 and the split tcase.
That is exactly what I am doing.

I did the doubler in my pig. I love it. It would work great in a 60. Cheaper than a 700R4 to split case adapter too.

A TBI would be better than a q-jet, but I think it's the best off road carb, by far.

Too much torque? no such thing.

I have that set up also....haven't driven it much....have other major issues but can't wait...hope to wheel it this year.....linkage is an issue that I haven't really seen worked out...gonna just try and make the stock stuff work...also any good crossmember pics??? sorry for the hijack but trying to help you out also with issues that have come up in my project...

Excatly what I wanted to hear!

Is my t-case 16 spline then? AA's site says that they make the np203 to t-case with either the 10spline or 16 spline.... which is my spline?

Chris

I believe it is the same one. I bought mine from Jerry Nichols who I think made the original one and it was dropped shipped to me from AA. I talked to Mudrack on a run and he said he usually fills all the orders in the West for the adapter and Jerry fills the East and AA actually mills them and drop ships for both of them. That is my understanding, but I could be wrong.

Unless something has changed, the 19 spline adapter is a propriatary item that AA makes for Jerry Nicholes. The don't sell it except through Jerry. Gary and a couple of others are authorised installers/ditributors for Jerry.

To even confuse the issue more, AA does not make the adapters, they have colorado somebodyorother make them and then they are repackaged and shipped in their boxes ;)

This is acutally helpful. I've spent the morning on the phone with AA, performance offroad and now CTS (Mudrak didn't answer). I'm waiting for a call back from CTS about this.

AA doesn't make the adapter... and no one there could say one has ever been made.

Who is Jerry? How do I get a hold of him?

Sorry don't have phone number but maybe you can get it using the info above.

#50-8804 is the item number off of my AA invoice which reads "TLC 19SP TC/ NP203 LOW"

Man, one of the dudes at AA said they did not make them Colorado... does.

Either way, call Jerry or call Mudrak.

I got mine from Mudrak

Just trivia at this point. Regardless of what you were told by the phone guy at AA... Jerry came up with the idea. However he does not have the facilities to produce them. He contracted with AA to make them. This is straight from Jerry's mouth. Last I heard, Charlie Rupp was also selling/ installing them. Technically I'm his "Alaska Distributor" but no one up here has bought one yet unless they went direct to Jerry and I just haven't heard about it. ;)

I've been out of this loop for a whiole and something may have changed. But I doubt that Jerry is now making the adapters for AA instead of the other way around.

Sounds more plausiable.

Just don't ask them if they work on a ford 203 ;)
