NP203 as a doubler in a 60?

$400 or $500 I can't remember which..

I think 400 but am not positive.

IIRC the adapter between the 203 and the 19 spline "split case" is roughly $500, maybe a tad under. But Gary, Jerry, or Charlie can give you up to date pricing.

This number doesn't work... no one answers.

I've searched this on yellow pages and cannot find them their either.

I left a message at Mudrak but his answering machine says "happy new years"... so I donno if he's around.

Any other thoughts?

I spoke to AA again today with the part number and they said "yeah, we make that but we can't sell it to you, you have to talk to Colorado Offroad Express"...

I know one of you guys has a used one that you wanna sell me :flipoff2:

I think I had to pay Jerry $525 when I did mine, hopefully it has come down some since then. I also had to send him a cashiers check, don't know if he takes credit now.

I have an unused one I'd like to sell but it comes attached to a 203, a splitcase, a SM465 and a low mile 1998 Vortec 350. I'd need about 6x what I paid for the adapter. :grinpimp:

I'll buy the adapter and the 203... what's shipping to VA? :D

WOOHOO, Gary from Mudrak called me back today. Said he's waiting on Jerry to tell him whether or not he makes it for the 700R4... what tranny are you guys running?

Chris

What have you guys done for a shifter for this thing? I assume that the kit does not come with anything.

Chris,

If you are gonna run the 700r4 you will need a new output shaft from AA...Then you can use the turbo 350 to 203 adaptor...

Can I use an output shaft from the 350? What's the issue? Legnth, splines?

And if the 203 is out of a Chevy why would I need an adapter between the tranny and t-case?

Chris

Chris,

I will try and look for some of my notes on this project up but I am going from memory...You need a shorter output shaft in the 700r4 to mount to the 203 adaptor to the 203...then the new adaptor goes to the back of the 203 to the split case...I don't know why the th3560 output doesn't work....I just know it doesn't....I know the hardest part is finding the 203 to th350 adaptor...that I can post a pic of if that helps...

Pictures might help.

This is quickly becoming cost prohivative.

Here's what I understand:
I need a new output shaft for the 700R4 (will neither a 4x4 or a 2x4 shaft work?)
The adapter/double kit for the NP203 -> 19 Spline t-case
NP 203
AND an adapter for a TH350 to the NP203?

Chris

Chris,

Hope this helps.....Don't really wanna go outside and lay under the truck tonight.... But this was the cheapest and easisest ways to do this swap as far as I was concerned....

That's extremely helpful. I went out and measured tonight and it looks like I'll have to shorten my rear driveshaft quite a bit.

That third picture... is that part of the th350->NP203 stuff you got from AA?

Thanks

Chris

You can use a stock adapter from the 203 to a th350

The 3rd pic is the th350 to 203 adaptor...that is something you will need to find a junk yard or ebay....The adaptor you buy from AA is an aluminum plate style...

Chris,

As far as I know , the th350 and 203 or the th400 and the 203 were the only combos available....I am running the 700r4 to 203 to split case....I looked through my stuff and haven't found the output shaft part number yet but will keep looking...Did you talk with Gary today???

Chris- I have access to a NP203 and the TH350 adapter which is the one you need for a 700R4. If you have a 4WD 700R4 then it all bolts together, but if you have a 2WD then you need the 4WD output shaft which a tranny shop can swap for you, I wouldn't attempt a swap in 700R4 myself. Send me a PM if you are interested, you should be able to find the 203 and adapter at a local yard but if you can't I got it.

Still no word back from Gary. He was unsure about the 203 working with the 700R and said he had called Jerry. I have also called Jerry and neither of us have heard back.

I don't mean to undercut anyone but advance adapters said if I hadn't heard back from anyone wihtin a week that they would consider the possibility of selling direct to me.

Thanks again
Chris

I have dealt with Jerry before. It may take a few days but he will get back to you. Great guy to deal with.

I think if you mention you are part of TLCA he will even give you a break.
