After I get back home and talk with Brett i'll let you know when we are rolling out so you can caravan with us.

Anybody else headed to this meeting from the Triangle area besides Greg and myself? Clint? Jerry? Robert? Thinking we can carpool, or at least caravan Saturday morning.

I'm interested in going but need to be back home by mid afternoon, probably no later than 4pm. If I go, I want to be there early and help out as long as I can. I can also bring/supply tools, jacks, stands, etc. to help. I'll talk to the :princess: and see if I'm cleared to go, then post an update.

Can I get a quick summary of who all is going to be there and what all is going to take place?

I know from this thread that we are pursuing 3 axle rebuilds, and possibly a FJ62 spring swap.

Axle Rebuild:
Brian (GarnerFJ40)
Mike (Mikesean)
Steve(FJ40z)

Springs:
Brett (shellb)

I am willing to come up Friday night to start on any of these projects if it is helpful, just need a place to crash. I will have the 80 so we can use it for the spring swap if needed.

Lets get a tool count to make sure all items are covered by Thursday.

'Nother home game, so I'm out. I have Joe's socket and adapter, and he mentioned earlier it was up for loan for this event. I can pass it to Greg or someone else who is going. Sorry I won't be able to be there and help, but sounds like this is going to be a good crowd.

 R

can some one pm the adress. Not 100% sure that I will be there but just in case.
If I do show whats the earliest that people will be starting to work. I might be able to do half a day.Just long enough to help finish the lift on that sweet 62.

I can bring a pair of jackstands if they are needed.

We also have the BOD and club monthly meetings too.

On that note, I was thinking it would be best to work through the day and plan on the group meal being towards late afternoon or the evening. What does everyone else think? Maybe order some pizzas for lunch.

I figure this would allow us to concentrate on getting the projects completed and allow us to relax and chat over some grub.

I will post the address of the location soon if not tomorrow.

Jason - I live in Durham, right off of 40 not far from Southpoint Mall. You can catch a ride with me if you want.

Clint - I'm aiming to get there pretty early on Saturday to help out also, but would like to stay for the meetings, so it doesn't look like I'd be able to leave early enough to get back to the Triangle by 4:00, so carpooling might not work, but we could caravan on the way out if you want.

Well I have hit a snag, I am missing the passenger side dust shield that goes behind the rotor, I went ahead and ordered my rebuild kit from cruiser outfitters and it will be here friday the only problem is I forgot about that shield being gone until yesterday:doh: I found one on mud but I dont think it will be here in time. I would like to play it by ear and see if it shows up in time if that is alright with everybody else? If its not here by friday then I will just wait but if it shows up in time I'll go ahead as scheduled if that works. I dont want to mess anybody else up or take up a spot where someone else can get something done so just let me know.

At this point, I'm planning on making it out. I don't know if I'll drive or meet up with Allen for a commute instead.

One quick question, is anyone going to have their rig there equipped with 37 X 12.50 X 16 tire/wheel combo? I'd like to test fit this combo on my FJC to see what kind of cutting/trimming/bashing might be necessary. I'm putting together a set of beadlock wheels (a DIY kit via Stan) and just may be stupid enough to try and fit a bit larger tire on the FJC...

your welcome to fit one of these IROKs though its a 36.9 x 13.5 and on a 17'' rim so it may not reveal what you are looking to modify. I have a nice hammer too :D

Might work if all else fails. I need to see if the wider tire will tuck into the fender wells front and back. If those fit, I'd feel comfortable a 12.5 tire would...

If I drive mine up you can try one of mine. They are 37x12.50-16.5

Steve I should have one attached to the axle in my garage. If I can bring it up you can have it and just give me the other one when it comes in.
