I just joined in order to help my neighbor sell his 2000 Lexus LX470.
I really want to buy this myself, but my wife will kill me if I buy another car, so I'm hoping another enthusiast will pick it up.
It has ~217,000 miles, and the timing belt was done at 162k miles. He is the second owner, and the first owner was a friend of his.
This car has been his daughter's car in college at UCSB, but she wants something more fuel efficient.
The only mechanical issue we're aware of is that the Sunroof just stopped working, but it's closed now and it doesn't leak. If I were going to buy it, I would just leave it closed and not mess with it.
The tires have some tread left, but should definitely be replaced. (They have a 2019 date code).
The interior has typical wear on the leather seats, and the paint has pretty heavy oxidation/fading/patina.
He would like to get $12,000 for it.
The car is located in Novato, CA (Marin County).
