Anyways I'm curions... I've just heard of a UK recall for some colarados ref the front wishbones.... anything like that over in the US ?

The 90 series are not available in the US. You'd need to look for 96-02 4runner recalls if you wanted to research the US market. However, there was a recall a few years ago for some 90 series real axles: (see below)

not exactly, but they share the same platform...

prado's in aus had recalls on there front lower ball joint on the lower wishbone! mine is a 1997 and has had a ball joint recall and a rear axle housing replaced. i think the ball joint recall put rubber boots/protectors around the ball joint but dont hold me to that, as they may have been replaced as well. i also regulary inspect the lower bull joints for movement.
