Toyota Land Cruiser

From the write-up, looks pretty dang sweet. Not mine, but figured fellow mudders might want to know about this one.

2001 Toyota Land Cruiser. This Texas Toyota has 177,000 miles with most all service being done at Toyota dealerships.
New Water Pump
New Timing Belt and tension-er
New Radiator & Hoses
Valve cover gaskets
Alignment
done at 174K
New ARB Lockers front and back done at 170K miles with air compressor under hood. (installation alone for these was 3K with air lockers @1k each 5K total. Has not been taken off road since installation.
Ole Man Emu Lift 1.5" done by Planet Pickup in SA
New CV boots and Joints replaced at 170K
Warn Winch in ARB Bumpers
ARB Roof Rack
Rear air!
New Tires
Barrings checked and inspected with all fluids changed and brake lines flushed at 170K
This cruiser has been babied and should easily go to 500K with proper maintenance.
Bottom qtr panels have been rhino lined and the wheels powder coated. Zero Rust and paint is shiny.
This is the Cherry Cruiser you have been looking for! Price is firm because all major maintenance has been done and she is good for at least 100K more miles with just oil changes.

I saw that too and wondered. But, I've known too many people who "dive" into a hobby, overspend (get in over their heads), don't use it how they thought they would and sell for a loss. Could be one of those. Worth a look I figure.

besides living in a city and not Utah, I'm especially reluctant to lock my axles whenever I read things like that

Yeah, truck is in San Antonio. I live in Austin and there is practically nothing around here that requires full locking difs. My LX has an LSD in the rear and no lock up front. I've yet to find a reason to engage even the Center Dif Lock. I've been able to go through or over anything I've tried. Might change my tune next month when I head up to CO to do some "real" offroading :)

What's with the crossbar over the engine bay?

Looks like a strut tower brace. Though, it doesn't appear to be attached to any strut tower and I honestly don't why you'd need to "stiffen" the front of an IFS LandCruiser. Maybe they thought the IFS was more flexy than the solid axle? All of the other stuff looks well thought out, but this just looks like something kids do to their Mazda3's to make them Faster and Furious...er :)

I don't know, but it sure would be handy when changing the heater tees. Engine cover de-rattler?

Seem it is taken down from CL. Possibly sold?
