I am a regular on the 60 forum thought I would post this in hopes of getting some help.
Here is my dilema. The wifes contour svt blew a tire on the freeway. Spare is flat(OFF THE RIM), so I went home and got one of the other wheels for the car. slightly different size. How bad is it to run it this way, cannot get tire fixed until tomorow afternnon and have to drive the vehicle (we work in different directions from home) 3 tires are 205/45/17 odd one is 205/15/16 little more than 1/8 of an inch in overall diameter. Tread however is very different. should I move the odd tire to the back(front wheel drive) By the way changing a flat on the snow covered freeway in 0 degree weather is realy fun....Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, that is the consensus I am hearing, sometimes it is just nice to get reasurance on something like this.

If you're driving on snowy/wet roads, the slight difference in diameter is the least of your worries.

If you were going to do long freeway trips on dry pavement, I'd make the effort to put it on the back. But for a day or two - no reason to bother IMO.
