Hi there everyone, I got a HJ60 2H Engine land cruiser. My vehicle as been sitting idle for almost a year and a half now, I've replaced two new batteries, but when I'm trying to start, it gives a click sound at the starter motor. And on the dashboard the charge light is on, when I turn the key from ignition switch to on position.

So far all the repairs I've done is;
*Replaced two new batteries
*Change all battery terminals

I am just thinking to check the starter motor brushes or solenoid but just need your opinions. Most appropriate. Thanks 🙏

do you have a helper?
if possible have 1 person try to start the engine and the other use a hammer and tap on the side of the starter body, see if it will turn over

Is it possible you are not fully grounded? I've seen plenty of these including my own where it wasn't. Try grounding off of the fender and the motor mount.

I wrote a small guide on "Click. No Crank" faults on the 2H engine. Here it is:

Yes thank you, I'll have all the earth wires and battery terminals clean out or replaced as well. Most
