Guys - i've talked to the owner he sounds like a stand up guy. Truck has some minor issues like the back wiper, seat motors, and a/c needs a recharge, but he says the lockers work (doesn't sound like he has used them much though, so do you diligence). It's a true K294 code. Carfax is clean. He replaced the head gasket as PM not too long ago! Per carfax it's been a NE truck it's whole life, so it's got to be rusty underneath, but owner swears no rot only surface. Again do you diligence.
So why am I not buying it? Because I live in the stupid state of PA that requires a title to register a used car. And guess which state doesn't issue titles for older cars? Yep, Rhode Island. So it doesn't have a title. Gets sold on a bill of sale and the registration. I think I have to go before a judge in PA to try to register it here in my name. Sounds like a big hassle and I have no idea if it will work.
Killing me to pass on this awesome price. Hope one of you guys buy it, but do it now. He's had multiple contacts already.

Thought about a pure trail rig but I don't have room for that many trucks to have a dedicated trail rig.

I've bought a lot of cars with bill of sales, lost titles, no titles, abandoned cars, lien seizures, etc and never had a problem getting a legal title. It still has to have a legal ownership in someone's name somewhere. Otherwise it would not get registered or licensed.
