After not doing any wheeling for a few months it was time to get out again!

Met up with 'Finnyfam60', Luke from 4x4 Labs and a guy from another board with a really sweet 4Runner.

Thanks to the lack of snow this year we set out to do the Signal Peak 4x4 trail in the Tahoe National Forest. The trailhead for Signal Peak is in the same area of Fordyce, Eagle Lakes. This was my first time running this trail. A few obstacles proved to be a lot harder than I anticipated.

There wasn't too much snow, but we were not able to climb the last bit of the trail as it was way too slick. Instead we bypassed it by climbing a steep hill in order to reach the towers at the very top.

Good times and a nice way to kill a few hours on the weekend :cheers:

Im bummed I didnt go with yout guys since finny invited me, ill def try and make it next time yall are going. It looks like it was a blast!

s***! Sorry I missed you guys. I was up in Truckee for the weekend and not sure if I would get any offroading in, but was able to try signal peak trail the easy way from Cisco Grove on Sunday. I was surprised at how much snow there was on this side. I think I could have made it but was riding solo with my little girl and decided to turn back about a mile from the peak when it was getting a little softer. Looks like you had fun. Glad I at least got to see the view from the peak vicariously thru your pics, thanks for posting!

I was so bummed I couldn't go on Saturday I went out and ran it on Monday! I got in a little trouble in that one spot, but otherwise really fun.

Good stuff! Coming down the easy side with all the snow sure was a fun ride. Got to get a little sidways hitting the snow banks. Going up that trail would have been a different story though.

Do you drive a lifted 80 with a lot of mods? I saw a sweet one going on hwy88? I think it was through rocklin area going west and I was headed east in my white 60 with an axle housing on the roof.
