Hart Prairie may be a little lower than Lockett Meadow so may still have some gold leaves on the aspens. Parts along the 300 road has fall colors too if you know where to find them. Besides aspens and oaks there are maples mixed in with pine and fir trees. There still might be some colors there too. I haven't been up north in a while so I don't if they all dropped yet.

I know a really cool canyon down this way that is full of maple trees. It turns all kinds of brilliant colors in early-mid november. You can only drive a little way into it, the rest of it is on foot. Nice place to camp out and explore.

Yup, pop up friendly for the first bit anyway. I know how to drive there, but I'll have to look at my maps tonite to be able to tell you how to get there. I'm planning on overnighting there on Nov. 10th. It's in the Galiuro's.
