This is one for sale nearby me in South Portland, Maine. Says BEST OFFER...it's a FJ62. Says it has engine issues related to timing, so it could be a good candidate for you...

Just curious, but isn't that engine about $13k? Why not just buy an already mint FJ and then do the engine mod, if you have the means?

I'm looking for a 60 or 62 to restomod. Will do a frame off restoration and drop in a 6.3 LS3 Connect & Cruise. Body needs to be in good shape and absolutely no rust. Will purchase immediately.

If you are serious, please grab a few beers and read this thread:

What's a Parts Guy to Do??

If you like what you see, you are welcome to contact me to discuss.

PCC this is totally worth the time/consideration:

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to read through 74 pages but i read the first 5 and last 5. I'm pretty confident Beno's 60 would be a great platform for me. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll let it go too cheaply. While I'm new to MUD and the Land Cruiser community, I'm a car guy and certainly respect and appreciate his passion.

It won't be cheap, but it will be a steal considering what you would be getting in return.

I have a 1987 FJ-60 that's in great body shape (no rust) but currently needs engine work... Would love to chat. FYI I'm based in NYC area in case that's closer proximity that some other options you're exploring.
