Hi everybody. Have been trying to search on this issue, but there are so many noises and ways to describe those sounds it's a little hard to find my specific problem.

Anyway, the off ramp on my way home is a 270* right hand turn that I take at around 30mph on the slow end or probably up to 45mph if I'm feeling frisky. I've started noticing a kind of knocking clunking sound from somewhere on the right hand side when I'm making this right turn and was hoping for some help in diagnosing it.

First time I heard it I went home and immediately jacked up both right wheels and wiggled the heck out of both tires out of concern it was a loose wheel bearing but they felt ok. My next thought was maybe an odd antiroll bar link but that doesn't make sense when under cornering as the bar and links would be fully loaded and unable to rattle. The last time I did it I paid close attention and the sound could have actually been more under the floorboards like where the driveshaft is, but that seems weird and I get no noise under any other conditions.

The noise does NOT sound like a grinding or classical CV joint clicking that is well correlated to wheel speed, it just sounds like something loose that's rattling around.

I have a mildly modified 1996: 2" TJM lift with caster correction bushings, 33" BFG All Terrains. I've added a bit of weight in the last month - sliders and a winch but otherwise no recent changes.

Thanks in advice for any insights.

What condition are your sway bar bushings? I know that they are loaded up during a turn but small bumps or steering input will cause them to move. I had a bushing get cut and had the same experience.

Good idea. I'll have a look and see what I can see.
