Got to take my 2000 100 series (north america spec) into Syria for a week where unleaded fuel is really hard to find. But leaded fuel is available everywhere. I'll be there a week, but will need to fill up a couple of times.

What are my options to get a 100 series running on leaded fuel with least damage and running problems? Is this at all feasible? or should i start thinking about buying out the neighborhood jerry can supply?

Can converters be removed easily without affecting ECU control of engine inputs causing poor running?

Just asking, but what is the cost to replace converters?

If you run even one tank of leaded fuel you will screw up the converters and O2 sensers. If you remove the converters you send a check engine code and the light will stay on. Also if you run the leaded you will mess up the 3 or 4 O2 sensers. Lots of high dollar stuff to screw up. If you remove all this the engine will run like crap or not run at all. You may be way head of the game by renting a vechicle that can handle the leaded fuel and live with it for the time you are there, or buy up the jerry can supply. later robbie
