I searched...a lot. And lots of good info. It seems like one of those jobs that with the right amount of jacks and stands, along the right tools, this is a doable job. Even for a moron like myself. I'm short on stands and a floor jack. It would also probably end up being at least one full day to get it done.

I am just wishing there was a decent step by step thread on here with pictures (cause again I'm a moron) that I could follow.

I wish I was in AR; the thing keeping me back from doing this is the amount of rust underneath. Yuck.

It's pretty simple, just remove all the AHC components. No particular order you need to do it in, and it varies depending on how much of the system you want to remove. Do it and make a write up for future members.

(I'm also a moron). Have a cutting torch or a back up plan. Getting the old AHC shocks off was the hardest thing I've done. Since then I've done a 90 k service, steering rack, cvs, etc etc etc and removing those f-ers was still the hardest. Never did get it done, thanks to Josh at Baertrax for bailing me out.

Edit: and it is simple but not necessarily easy. Kind of like getting a golf ball into the hole is simple.

My biggest concern is if there is pressure left in the system anywhere when I go to taking stuff out.

That's why you use the bleeders to relieve pressure and drain

Apparently I am supposed to keep the AHC for as long as it's working. At least that's the consensus on this board. Plus the wife is to happy about the fact that I want to spent 3k+ on a new suspension. Let alone the armor I'm also going to get. So I guess I'll get the Slee override and make sure my fluid is all good and roll with it for a while.

I'm not a fan of the strutmasters kit, but they do have a video posted that should give you some idea about the AHC replacement process.
