no start

Hello All,
My son has recently bought himself an 86 landcruiser hj75 and it has started making strange noises and not starting i.e. when you turn the key to on it starts to make a loud vibrating sound i traced the noise and the vibration to what i now know is the glow plug relay so my question is is this relay what is stopping the car starting and responsible for the vibrating sound or do i have a bigger problem??

Is the starter motor turning? Edic moving to start position? I would try another relay.

just found the second glow plug relay but that is dickie too checked it with an ohm meter and both were faulty also checked the glow plug resistor and got nothing from the ohm meter i think i will go shopping 2 relays and a resistor anywhere in perth that would sell them??

Odin Autos in Balcatta are pretty good at getting parts in if they can match them up.
