Under the moonlight, the serious moonlight.
Had some rain last weekend, had to put the '86 Tercel into 4WD and have a little too much fun. I'm not too mechanically inclined and don't have a lot of tools. Anyone know the best way to fix this? Let me know.

I can't tell if the strut failed or the mount did.

either way, all you have to do is replace the part that failed..

It was the mount. I pulled the strut and repositioned it into the correct place. I suppose that if I keep it on the street and not take it for another muddy-field-brody session, I should be able to get by for a while. I'm pretty sure it happened when I slid over that bump sideways. Oh well, the wife and I had fun and I guess that's what I get for having a 4WD daily driver. I can't always resist temptation. Thanks for the help, Mace.

I gotta get me one of those...what's the mpg like?

oh, duh! if all the ones in my area haven't made it to the skrap yard yet :frown:

 we throw away more good sh....

I need to put new struts on mine, it's a bit bouncy on our pot holed roads..

I have carb problems too, very strange ones... My mom just bought a SR5 with moonroof, and the clinometer on it.... She has the same carb issues.

Call C-Dan, and see if he's got a mount in stock. Looks like a bolt up deleo to me..

strut mount broke. can't tell with blurry pics, but maybe coil spring broke too?
I see those at the local pull-a-part all the time.
New upper strut mounts would be better....
