So as it would turn out my problem was not vapor lock.
I would do the usual to relieve the vapor and it would start right up. A couple of days later she would not start for anything. Racking my brain for a couple of hours(newby mechanic) I came to the realizaton that I have no vapor problem i have a broke a#$ feul pump. Installed the new pump today and vroom vroom started right up. And of course runs better now that fuel is making it to the carb.
So as you can tell I am quite proud of myself.
