The LC is in a different class, no doubt, but 4Runners are great vehicles. I was very close to getting a TRD ORP to replace the GX, but 200 that came available I just had to jump on. I know that part of me is going to occasionally wish for, though, the smaller vehicle size and that awesome power window in the tailgate
Trust me, I don’t get the same excitement driving the ORP at all, feels very bland.

When I purchased my LC, longevity was at the front of my mind. Everything else the LC offered was a bonus. Now that I’m back on the car hunt, I need to get that mindset back. I’ve been spoiled by the LC hahaha. 7 year/100,000 mile warranty is more exciting than the 4.0 motor.

I am excited for that rear window!!! I had a 2nd gen 4R and it was my favorite thing about it haha.

Here’s where I’ll be now! Woo hoo!

I drove 24 hours round trip for mine. It was a labor of love.
I hear ya.
When I got my '19 new, I shopped, and shopped, etc. Ended up flying to Kalispell from Sacramento to get mine. I swear the break in drive (easy-ish) home is why I consistently get over 20mpg on the highway.

To anyone looking...
570's from CA would be worth a serious look:
1 More of 'em.
2 Likely not rusty
3 Soccer mom driven (aka NOT beat up)
4 Dealer serviced

Enjoy the journey (the destination may, or may not be great)

What a read! Bittersweet ending. Not that they totaled your LC. That you replaced it with a 4R. I am glad you did not give up on the brand though.

It was a short lived - long feeling experience, glad to be through with it. Couldn’t give up on Toyota, my 74 Corolla probably has 300-400k on it and runs great. Cant let a bad apple sum up a brand!
