I bought my first LX470 yesterday but none of the interior lights work in any setting, door or on. i have changed the fuse but i dont really know what other things to check because i am really bad with electrical:bang:. So if anyone has any info on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Can we assume you checked both fuseboxes? Under the hood and near the dead pedal?

@Trunk Monkey Dash lights yes but that is it.

@hankinid I checked the dead pedal box did not realize there was one for the interior lights under the hood. it is a 2000 model if that makes a difference. the only one i saw that had to do with the lights under the hood included the starter and other major electronics and they all work

thank for the responses guys!

Does the 2000 Lx have the passenger side fuse box? In my owners manul it only showed 3 fuse boxes. But I am new to the Lc world so I may be wrong ha.
The one I did check was number 43 next to the driver door

I am also electrically challenged, but I can look at the books. I looked into my copy of the Electrical Wiring Diagram (EWD) for the 2000 LX (it lists only three fuse locations) and then cross referenced to the owner's manual (which only lists 3 as well - answering the easy part of your questions). The following three fuses have some connection to interior lights per the EWD: 20A ECU-B1 in position 19, 10A Dome in position 45, and 15A ECU-IG in position 47. BTW, the way I read it, fuse #43 in the 2000 LX owner's manual is for the rear diff lock. Are you working from documents that belong to your year and model or something else (so we have a common reference)?

It is the owners manul that came with the truck. I may have checked fuse 45 and mistakenly put 43. The one I checked was a 10 amp. I found a diagram of some relays that are on the passenger side kick panel and one of them controls the whole interior lights. But I will go check the fuse #47 also

I think I found the problem there are a bunch of relays on the back side of the fuse box next to dead pedal one of them is the dome lights and it is missing. So I have no reference on what size or how many prongs it has o assume it's 4 but not sure on the amps. The fuse letter for the diagram I have is M

I got it all figured out nvm ha! It's a pain to get too but that relay was what it was.

All's well that ends well and thanks for the follow-up. It helps people (like me) when looking for what worked for other owners.

The part number is

AIRTEX 562089 I couldn't get a Denzo one part store was out of them. If anyone is wondering

2000 Land Cruiser...I have the no interior lights issue now as well. I checked and replaced all fuses even though they were fine, ( left kick plate and engine bay marked dome) . I checked every fuse in the truck actually. I replaced the M ( and L because I thought it was the M...then went back and realized my mistake)..relay on the back of the left hand kick plate, I have removed every light from the interior including the map lights, dome lights, all 4 door lights...the only one I haven't removed is the glove box one...I got tired and frustrated.
I bought a flashlight!...arg...anything I missed?...ps checked for a right side fuse block and mine doesn't have one.

I'm having a similar issue on a 2004, where my door courtesy lights turn on, but none of the dome lights turn on (when a door is opened). I checked fuse 56 and it is intact. Wondering how to access the relays? Do I need to unscrew the fuse panel?

Got the same problem. Dome relay is fine, all fuses are fine. When I short-circuit a wire from dome relay to the ground directly, all the lights are working but just as long as I am holding the wire to the ground. Body ECU has no DTC's but I know my Tilt&Telescopic ECU is not working. Now I have installed a switch between ground and relay just to have lights.
Dash lights are OK, so only interior lights are not working. Door switches are OK also. Does anyone know if this has something to do with Tilt&Telescopic ECU?

Hi, was this the culprit to your dome lights not working?

I have the same issue. Everything works but dome lights and cargo lights. Even after installing new led lights. At first it blew the regular 10amp fuse. Now they just don't work or flicker whenever. Map lights and Everything else work just fine.

I got my 2000 lx470 about 5 years ago and dome and cargo just never worked. I'm now encountering that if I don't fix that. I cant get my new key fob to program the lock and unlock feature. . What a headache.

I tried that part number above and nothing came up on Google. Let me know if you have a link and if this solved your issue.

Thanks
