My 95 prado KZJ71 started losing fuel pressure in the lines if I left it sitting to long. I believed it was the primer pump on top of the fuel filter because it never would go hard. Replaced it and still can’t get it to go hard or see any fuel coming out of the line to the injector pump. So next I tried sucking on the fuel line going to the fuel filter and can’t seem to get any fuel to come out. Is there a fuel filter in the tank of these things? Thinking I may have got a clog or something

There is a screen on the end of the pickup at the bottom of the tank, but I suspect that you have a pinhole or a slight leak in a rubber line somewhere that will not allow enough vacuum to build up to draw the fuel up from the tank. This allows air into the line, and for the fuel to run back down into the tank.

In my build thread I detail hunting down the air leak in my system, which ended up being the pickup line at the top of the tank where it bends.

Best of luck!

Yeah I’ve read a couple places about that pickup line being an issue. Going to check that next thanks
