I picked up the 4" system with the shackle reversal from Man a Fre and im not getting hardly any flex in the rear. The springs have a pretty extrem arch. Also im running with the hard top off so theres not alot of weight on the back.
I did put a few of my heavey friends in the back and tryed some flexing and it still wasnt all that great.

Any ideas of what i could do??

I have loosned them a while back, it made the ride alot softer but i still couldnt get the flex i wanted.

Should i look into taking a leaf out?

How about your shock length?

shock lengths a good, i have marked the full compression and full extention on the shock before i put them on, and i even took them off and tryed flexing and it made no differnce. It was a very bouncy ride without those shocks. :bounce:

I read that forum but there was no end result, it just sort of stopped. But i have a plan and im going to go with it. See what you guys think?

Theres 5 leafs and im going to take out 2 of them, starting with the bottom ones. Then im going to lossen the claps that go around the springs. After that im going to park it with a ton of fire wood in the back and go flex it and leave it to Ripen.

What do you guys think?

A friend of mine a while back had a 4" lift on his. Pretty much zero wheel travel in the back. He didn't wheel much so it took him years to realize that the HD conferr shackle had a crosspiece in it that was hitting his rear shackle hanger and preventing compression of his leaf spring. Do you shackles have a cross piece in them?

btw, 4" springs just don't flex that great due to the amount of arch needed. Another thing is they need a longer than stock shackle or the spring will bind and not be allowed to flatten during suspension travel.
