Hi gentlemen. I ran into this mysterious problem. The ls engine started for the first time about few weeks ago. Yesterday, I placed the key in the on position, no lights, accessories. etc, nothing turns on. I checked ground to the chassis, engine block, power to the alternator, starter - they are look fine. The fuse link, and the 50 am fuse checked out okay. There were a few blown 15 fuses on under the hood (replaced all), not inside. Could it be the ignition switch? suggestions? Thanks all.

Dead battery?

Can you pull codes from the ECM with the key on?

I am curious why you had a bunch of blown 15 amp fuses? That is far from normal. This makes me think you had a major short in your wiring harness.

I would check to see if those circuits have commonality.

no power when key on so can't read codes. got this answer from psi, "The accessories and chassis harness has no direct integration to the engine computer. All the factory vehicle components, (headlights, radio, AC, etc) would all still work even if you removed the engine computer. The vehicle should still even crank over without the computer plugged in." Seems like its the LC fault.

Check the grounds in both kick panels.

Also, make sure the Toyota transmission shift lever is in park. If not, that will disable everything, including engine starting. This is controlled by the shift lock computer under the center console.

I would check power at the relay box under the hood, then power at the fuse panel by the driver.

I'm going to pull out the dash and check out the ignition switch and the wiring that runs to the ignition switch. I have to change the heater core so I have to remove the dash.

Lord baby Jesus. I figured it out. I accidentally connected the fuse link cable to the negative, that’s why there was no power when key on. I removed it to clean and stupidly connected improperly.

I must have screwed up with the fuel system problem after I attached the fuse link to the negative. Now, when I try to start the engine it only crank. No prime and pressure. I replaced the blown charge fuse. Need to check the relay and fuel pump. It could be the fuel pump resistor according to a member post.
