No charge and burning smell

I was thinking the starter did not release, and spun the whole way up the mountain. My 85 wont release, and after i start it I have to turn the key back.....Dont worry about the burnt smell unless it is still there. It probably is just a cooked wire, or lightly melted on the inside....If you are really worried check all the related wires for good flexibility.
