New to the forum, so I'm not that great with the search function yet. I tried searching every iteration and synonym for my problem, but can't find anything.

When I double-lock the doors, I don't get that "beep" or alarm or whatever it is. I found a similar issue on a forum for another model, and they said it was because one of the doors had a failed locking mechanism and it didn't beep because it wasn't actually locked. So I went through every door and the trunk and they were all locked, so thats not my porblem. I only recently got the truck, so I assumed it was just an old car that never had the beep. But then I saw a video where someone double clicked the lock with their fob and it beeped. Not sure if it's relevant, but I tried the panic button on the key and it worked fine. Also, when I turn the truck on, I don't get any sounds or beeps or anything. It's silent. And the lights interior don't turn on either. Not sure if the exterior do. If they do, I haven't noticed them. Only realized I had them when I removed the running boards today.

Funny, mine never beeped when locking it. Never even knew beeping was a thing. Now I want beeps. And my panic button doesn't do squat.

I think the lx47ps beep and the land cruisers do not

One of the doors on my LX has the classic "door locks intermittently don't work when it's super hot outside" issue. When it occurs, the rest of the locks engage but it doesn't beep. Normally, it always beeps when all locks engage. So it could be that.

Thanks for the link. After reading it I think I like no beep now.

I have the same problem. If you find a good answer, post it. So far what I have done is purchase some motors, but doing the whole removing door panel thing isn't something I am eager to do. It bugs me that if I do that, it won't solve the issue.

When I got my LX470, it would beep when I unlocked, but not when I locked it. Turned out the rear hatch lock motor wasn't working and would not lock the rear hatch. Once I replaced the motor for the rear hatch I had the beep. By it not beeping when I tried to lock it, it was letting me know one of the doors was not locking.
