Asking NM HDC members to consider donating food to local food banks, if possible, during these tough times. Google Albuquerque/ Rio Rancho Local food banks to find a one near you.
I was told today, they are short on breakfast cereals, as an example ,of what you might like to donate. Do what you can, thanks.
Any nonperishable item will go a long way.

Thanks.

Thank you Jeff!

Food banks are begging for donations.

If you have ever gone without food you know

BEING HUNGRY SUCKS!!!

I hate more than anything seeing hungry kids.

If anybody needs ecu flashing or know of someone who does I am offering this:

Will flash for food.

I give to the Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty and know that they are needing all the donations they can get.

Another way that you can support the local economy is to buy local microbrewery beers!!!!!!!!!. Many of these local breweries sell their product in local grocery stores. Buy Local Beer. Budweiser does not need your help, but Bosque Brewery does!!( As just one example).
So, Drink up and keep the economy going!!!!!
:cheers::beer:

Glad I just bought a case of Marble Double White at Costco. If anyone is worried about booze supply, Costco seemed to be very overstocked. They had everything I expect, and lots more than I expect.

Virgil,
Do you know if cash donations are useful to Bethel? Paige's Girl Scout troop is disbanding soon and has about $500 they made from cookie sales before the craziness hit. She's going to contact the GS Council and see if they are allowed to donate cash to charitable organizations. If she disbands her troop with money, the council takes it.

Yes, they can sure use the cash. Since they have had to shut down their thrift store they don't have that money coming in anymore.

Does anyone know if food banks prefer cash or food donations?
Roadrunner food bank likes money as they can get food in bulk. Not sure on others, but most , I think would take food or money donations.

F.Y.I. if you are travelling east and need gas Lisa's Truck Stop out in Moriarty is donating $.25 from every gallon sold to the Bethel Storehouse food bank.
